Born from our love of wild swimming and our belief in the power of nature, social connection and the restorative properties of heat, we are overjoyed that in 2025 our dream of opening a wood-fired wild sauna in Scotland finally came true. We aim to bring people together for connection, relaxation and adventure in the heart of the Scottish outdoors, right on the shore of the only Lake in Scotland in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Our Wild Sauna has a capacity of 8 people and we have a new sauna arriving in May 2026 that can comfortably accommodate 12 guests. Children over the age of 12 are welcome to join our social sauna sessions alongside an adult, whilst those aged 8-11 can sauna in as part of an exclusive use session, accompanied by an adult.
When you visit us at the Lake of Menteith, you are guaranteed a warm welcome in every sense. There is a covered seating area for changing or relaxing, a cold shower and a cold plunge bucket. We have created easy access to the Lake, which is just a few steps from our Wild Sauna. We are blessed to be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife including the fabulous ospreys, the occasional sea eagle and elusive otters.
We also offer open water coaching sessions led by Jenny, an STA Level 2 Open Water Swim Coach, with and STA Level 2 award in Open Water Safety. Our swim sessions include open water swimming and water safety for beginners and we also provide workshops for those who want to improve their stroke or technique. The added bonus is having a wood-fired sauna to warm up in after your session.
Wild Sauna guests have access to free car parking at the Karma Lake of Menteith hotel and also receive a 15% discount of all food and beverages in the hotel (the food is amazing)!

£16 per person for a single seat in our Wild Sauna (one hour)
£110 for exclusive use of our Wild Sauna for up to 8 guests (one hour)
£35 per person for Wild Swimming/Water Safety and Wild Sauna Session (two hours)
