Located in a quiet coastal cove at Kip Marina, Inverkip, Clyde Coast Saunas offers a truly immersive sea sauna and cold water experience on Scotland’s west coast. Set right on the shoreline, this wood-fired sauna looks out across the Clyde, making it one of the most atmospheric places in Scotland to enjoy sauna, sea dipping and contrast therapy.

Guests enjoy easy, direct access to the sea at both high and low tide, making cold water swimming and dipping simple and safe year-round. For those who prefer not to enter the sea, we also provide cold plunge barrels with a continuous flow of fresh water, along with outdoor cold showers. Between hot and cold rounds, guests can relax on outdoor seating, regulate their breathing, and take in the coastal surroundings.

We offer a wide range of sauna experiences at Kip Marina, suitable for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced cold water swimmers. These include 1-hour and 2-hour social sauna and cold plunge sessions, where individual seats can be booked, as well as private hire sessions for groups wanting exclusive use of the sauna. Under-16s are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult, making this a shared experience for families as well as friends.

Kip Marina is also home to our popular guided wellness experiences, designed to help guests safely explore contrast therapy while feeling supported and connected. These include Sea & Sauna Reset sessions, Yoga, Sea & Sauna, Sound Bath, Sea & Sauna, Sauna, Sea & Supper evenings, and Aufguss sauna rituals led by a qualified Sauna Master. We also run Thermalist Method workshops, focusing on breathwork, sauna practice and cold exposure for maximum health benefits.

Facilities at Kip Marina include on-site parking, sheltered changing facilities, and a calm, welcoming sauna area that encourages community and connection. The sauna is also easily reached by public transport, with Inverkip train station just a short walk away, making it accessible for visitors travelling from Glasgow and beyond.

Whether you’re looking to try your first cold dip, deepen your sauna practice, or simply enjoy time by the sea, Clyde Coast Saunas at Kip Marina offers one of Scotland’s most scenic and restorative sauna experiences.
