Fire & Stars Woodland Sauna is a small, wood-fired community sauna located in Leicestershire within the heart of the National Forest.

Set among woodland at our family-run site, the sauna is designed to offer an authentic, nature-immersed experience rooted in traditional heat, cool and rest cycles. We operate a handcrafted Hekla Cube 250, wood-fired using locally sourced timber to create a consistent, enveloping heat and soft, balanced löyly.

Sessions are held in small groups of up to six, each lasting 60 minutes. This allows guests to move through multiple heat rounds and embrace the full sauna cycle at their own pace.

Cooling options include fresh forest air, dedicated cold plunge pools, and hot and cold showers, providing strong temperature contrast while maintaining connection to the woodland setting.

We provide practical, comfortable changing facilities to ensure guests can prepare for and transition from their session easily. Alongside the sauna, there is a woodland seating area where guests can gather before or after their session. Many bring a flask of tea or coffee and spend time unwinding among the trees, reinforcing the relaxed, social rhythm of the space.

Fire & Stars is intentionally community-led. Our aim is to create an accessible, welcoming environment rooted in authentic sauna culture rather than a private spa-style experience. We focus on safe wood-fired operation, balanced löyly, and encouraging regular use as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Our goal is to foster wellbeing, connection and shared experience in nature through a thoughtfully operated woodland sauna.
